Bangkok, Ekkamai Bus Station

Eastern Bus Terminal Bangkok Ekkamai is not the largest station in the metropolis but one of those that has a major role in the Thai network.

Bangkok has several bus and train stations. It is not always easy to know which station to go to for information or just to take a bus.

Bangkok bus stations

Bangkok has 3 major bus stations and 1 bus station for minibuses:

Go to Ekkamai Bus Station:

  • By BTS

Eastern Bus Terminal Bangkok Ekkamai is ideally located next to the BTS, 100 meters from the station Ekkamai, it’s very easy to get there or leave.

  • By Bus:

It’s very well distributed by city buses. It’s possible to take public buses but to find the good buses, it’s better to use a app.

  • By taxi :

Very easy. All cabs know the Ekamai bus station.

  • By Grab or Bolt

Grab and Bolt are two apps. They are very easy to use, and they give the possibility to find un driver for a good price.

Ekkamai Bus Station:

It is possible in this bus station either to take normal buses (all are air-conditioned) or mini-buses. There are also some VIP buses.

For some destinations like Koh Chang, Koh Samet you can also buy combo tickets that combine bus and boat. To avoid stress and to be sure to have a place for your destination, it is best to book in advance. Indeed, some destinations (Koh Samet for example) are in great demand and some periods are also very busy (Thai or international school holidays, New Year, Christmas, Songkran and without forgetting the many bridges …).
