Vijit Chao Phraya 2025: a unique festival of lights
Organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and private partners, Vijit Chao Phraya showcases Thailand’s rich cultural heritage.
The event takes place every evening from November 9 to December 23 along the Chao Phraya River.
The program features light displays, projections, traditional Thai performances, and fireworks
The Vijit Chao Phraya Festival 2025, initially scheduled from November 1 to December 15, will now take place from November 9 to December 23.
This slight postponement allows organizers to adjust the format of the event in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
This year’s theme is The Light of Siam: Mother of the Nation, highlighting Thai cultural heritage and the Queen Mother’s contributions to society.
In keeping with the national mourning period, traditional fireworks displays will be replaced by drone light shows, offering a more respectful and modern alternative
