Just 75 km east of Bangkok, Chachoengsao is an easy and worthwhile escape for a cultural or spiritual day trip. Here’s how to get there using the most convenient and affordable options.

By train – The scenic and local option

Taking the train from Hua Lamphong station is one of the most charming ways to reach Chachoengsao. Trains run several times a day, especially in the morning.

  • Travel time: 1.5 to 2 hours
  • Fare: 15 to 40 THB depending on class
  • Arrival station: Chachoengsao Junction, located a few km from downtown (songthaews and tuk-tuks available)
