On November 28, 2023, the Thai government approved a regulation to extend operating hours for bars and nightclubs, aiming to stimulate tourism. In popular tourist destinations like Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Samui, entertainment establishments will be allowed to remain open until 4 am. This measure, effective December 15, 2023, is geared towards enhancing the tourism industry, a vital component of the Thai economy.
