The Laos-China Train: a regional connection project
The railway line linking Vientiane (Laos’ capital) to Boten (on the Chinese border) is part of an ambitious international project: the Kunming–Singapore railway, developed under China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
The full route will eventually include 33 stations. For now, 10 stations are operational, with three major ones for travelers: Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang.
