Transportation in Krabi

It is easy to get around Krabi. Several means of transport can be used.
For example one can take a songthaew to get to Ao Nang Beach or the bus station.

The songthaew are of different colors. Each color corresponds to a specific path:

  • The white songthaew: bus terminal, Krabi town and Ao Nang Beach.Normally, the price is 50 Baht per person per way. Be careful, after 6:00 PM, an increase is made and the ticket goes to 60 baht.
  • Red songthaew: bus station at the Tiger Cave (20 bath)
  • The blue Songthaew: Krabi at the airport (via the pier)

Note:

  • The songthaew stop when they are called and stop anywhere.

  • Prices are not negotiable.

The songtaews operate from sunrise to 9:00 PM. It is the most economical means of transport, but not the fastest.

Another way, the motorcycles-taxis, practical, fast it is better to use their services for short distances. The price of the race can rise very quickly.
Finally, tuk-tuk are very present in Krabi Town. Negotiation is required to set the price before leaving. To be used only for medium distances.
