Transport Options from Krabi to Koh Jum

For a convenient journey to Koh Jum from Krabi, the Laem Kruat pier is the preferred departure point . Multiple crossings are available each day during both high and low seasons. The journey is conducted on small boats. On sunny days, it’s advisable to dress warmly, as the number of covered areas is limited—a precaution that also applies on rainy days.

The boat ride typically lasts around 35 minutes (duration may vary based on boat conditions) and costs approximately 70 baht per person.

Alternatively, you can embark from Krabi Town using the Klong Jilad Pier, with the journey taking approximately one hour.

Getting to Laem Kruat Pier

If you’re traveling from Ao Lang Beach to Laem Kruat, the most economical option is to take a songthaew. Typically, the route and stops are indicated on the songthaew, making it easy for you to identify the correct one. Simply read the markings and signal for the vehicle to stop. While it may not be the fastest mode of transportation, it is practical because songthaews operate throughout the day, extending their route to Laem Kruat Pier.

Alternatively, for a faster option, you can take minibuses from Ao Nang Beach or Krabi Town bus station. Taxis provide an even quicker mode of transportation. You can book a taxi here, and for van reservations, click here.
